Charles Mallea founded M Architecture to service NYC developers with their architectural planning needs. Charles studied architecture at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. In the early 1980’s Pratt’s School of Architecture ran one of the most progressive architectural curriculums led by leading professors in the fields of environmental design, appropriate technology and community housing.
After graduation Charles gained extensive practical experience in the fields of affordable housing, corporate, retail, hospitality and exhibition design as well as continuing extensive work in residential design while specializing in highly detail oriented projects. As a founding principal of MSM Architects, Charles worked on the full spectrum of architectural and interior design projects in New York City and the North East. Creating flagship stores, boutiques and offices for Gianni Versace, Emanuel Ungaro, Nino Cerruti, Hugo Boss, and others, at the top end of the spectrum to the roll-out of mass market shopping mall and outlet locations for international retailers.
